About me

I've been drawing as long as I can remember. I grew up in Germany and have lived 15 years of my life there. I received my formal art training at the HTK Academy of Design in Hamburg, Germany. These days I live in my home country Finland. I live in a small town near Helsinki together with my partner Asko and our two dogs. I do mainly traditional paintings, mostly female figures and portraits. I have a few different styles how I paint, I usually like to do realistic looking paintings, but then sometimes I like to paint really loose and splash the colours around. I've only selected a small amount of my work on display on my website www.nadja-art.com, but many of my old works and new experimental pieces can be found however here on my blog.
