Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School

In my teenage years I used to do a lot of life drawing. I actually started out when I was 14 or 15.

Nowadays however I'm no longer doing life art so much. I don't have the time for that and there are no classes in my home town I could take. Instead I go from time to time to Dr. Sketchys art clubs in Helsinki. I love them and I have a few old posts about those:

Last spring was a very special Dr Sketchy night! My spouse was the model! How awesome is that! :) Below are some pics of the event and you can also check out the Freelancers Fashion Blog to see more pics. I was so proud of Asko! This was his first time as an art model and he did a great job :)
I was obviously pregnant as you can see in the pic. It was 8 months actually but I remember that I still felt pretty good :)

Dr.Sketchy - (S)He's Got The Look

Here are some pics of the latest Dr Sketchy event I went to. The theme was He/She's got the look and the model was the fabulous Lola Vanilla/Bent van der Bleu. I had a great time drawing! Me and my glass of wine had so much fun! My drawings didn't turn out much, but I leave the blood, sweat and tears at home and just enjoyed the moment and the very talented model. 

I would greatly advice Dr. Sketchy events to anybody who likes to draw! These events are taking place pretty much all over the world, so seek the one closest to you! :)

Dr. Sketchy's Anti Art School 28.12.2011 Helsinki

Yesterday I was again at a Dr. Sketchy drawing session in Helsinki. The evening was called "Dr. Sketchy Does Mother Russia!". I had a lot of fun drawing... I'm afraid this time I was drinking more than drawing. Maybe next time I drink less and draw more ;)
